In the screenshot above, I think that some people will believe that the free boost applies to the section with the starting line when it applies in fact to the previous one.
One way to reduce the risk of error is to orient the tile with its bottom toward the center rather than toward the bottom of the screen.
Another would be to highlight corner or portion of the track to which the token applies when hovering the mouse above it.
A third more weird way would be to add new "no effect" token on the portions of track that do not get an effect. But that's probably not a good idea as such tokens do not exist in the rules.
And I know that I do see the correct heat cost associated with boost during the reaction phase but I still think that some people will get it wrong. -

If an option, I think that orienting it like you are "supposed to do at the table" (bottom toward the center) should be the default.
I just lost a game due to a portion of the circuit having the weather effect of not allowing slipstream. You can see what I mean on the leftmost portion of this screenshot: imgur.com/vHoxFlW . I won't blame anything or anyone but myself for this lack of attention since that's how you'd play on a real life board but I can't help but think that a green higlight for bonus and red for something bad could greatly help anyone. Ajust my colors suggestion for colorblind people and you have a great QOL addition to this game in my opinion.
