BGA treats any solo/co-op games with positive score as 'victory' (regardless of the game rules).
Although it is indeed mentioned that you can keep history track of your scores in the Royal Log as you mention, the Game End is very clear about the win conditions:
You and your teammates win if the royal garden is filled without the Gardeners being caught by the Queen.
Note: Players must still complete all phases of a turn, including guessing a Whim and moving the Queen, even on the turn the garden is fully filled.
You and your teammates immediately lose the game if the Queen reaches or passes the Gardeners on the score track
So it is really very much against the intent and nature of the game to declare a positive score as winning.
The final score will actually always be positive, it doesn’t mean anything but IRL is just kept for history in that Royal Log book.
Also, The final score can be 0 or negative if players end up with 10 points or less.
And the game stat doesn’t really reflect the intent of the game win condition.
Of course it is a co-op game, so ELO etc doesn’t count anyway, but it will still be really confusing and unsatisfying to see “win” declared when actually loosing through execution.
I would at least suggest to reopen the bug so other people can upvote it, so you can see how much feedback you get on it.
Unless the rules change I'll leave this ticket closed.
I am not suggesting a house rule, the actual rules from the game are very explicit:
“ You and your teammates immediately lose the game if the Queen reaches or passes the Gardeners on the score track “
It is actually your implementation and the default BGA behavior that are leading to a house rule, by incorrectly recording a positive score as a Win. (Other games on BGA sometimes work around this by forcing scores to become negative in case of specific losing conditions - something you could also easily achieve by for instance distracting another -1000 or whatever when executed by the queen)
Please, take this up again and discuss this issue with the publisher, it seems really strange that they would prefer to have all games declared as Win.
