• Mar-plij, eilit/pegit ar gemennadenn fazi a zo war ho skramm, ma zo unan.
My IJA infantry on a cave moved to a cave two hexes away. That movement counted as overland movement, meaning the infantry couldn’t attack an Allied unit that was more than one hex away rather than a 1 hex ‘cave’ movement, which would have allowed a 2 die attack.
In effect, the infantry moved overland rather than from cave to cave and there’s no way to force the cave movement.
I did click on the destination hex rather than 'step' through each hex.

You can see the initial attack highlights in the first screen shot (which may be inaccurate in general, as several hexes are light green that should be dark) and in the second shot, the unit is 'deactive' and cannot attack.
It *should*, but did not.
It appears the game engine interpreted my movement as two hexes "overland", rather than direct to a cave.
The linked image shows that the unit to be moved could go to 3 different caves from where it could have fought remotely. None of these 3 caves are highlighted in dark green, and 2 of them were not attainable by a normal "surface" movement.
It's possible there are two bugs. If I had moved to a further cave and had been able to attack, then there's also a display bug. Cave movement highlights do not accurately reflect the ability to attack.
The original is the movement and attack issue. I took a better screenshot of the replay: imgur.com/a/ay2kp7q
You can see here that the infantry steps through from a6 to b6 then b6 to c6. You cannot see my mouse click on c6, but trust me, I did not step the infantry through the movement at b6.
I could move IJA from one cave to another that was two hexes away, but then could not attack unless in Close Assault.

Around Move 310
I think the clearest way to explain is that when moving from two cave hexes further than 2 away, the sidebar shows only the start hex and the end next. When moving two hexes away, the sidebar shows the movement including the intermediate hex.

You can see that no battle took place...Denied fire capability.
"Cave movement highlights do not accurately reflect the ability to attack."
It's not just "Cave movement. " I've noticed this with another terrain as well.
I tested attacking after moving and it works.
should be soon fixed then :)
When moving from one cave hex to another cave hex that has exactly one hex in between, the game will move the unit 2 hexes instead of one.
I'll get a play in tomorrow and let you know if it's better.
