I noticed a few improvements that could be made to Klaverjassen's English strings and most of them are explained below (and I'm motivated to implement them if you agree):
For example it shouldn't be the same word when choosing the length of the game "16 rounds ? 8 rounds ?" than when we have two consecutive moments to choose the trump suit for a 'round'. But there are 'statistics' telling the "Number of takes in second round" (=No. This could be the second turn inside the current (2nd or 7th or 16th) round) or "You cannot choose the same Trump as the trump card passed in the first round"
In addition to that, some other words are used, like "Number of hands won" or "Number of hands with all tricks (Mars)" or "Player for this hand" or "Result of this hand" -> in theses cases "hand" means "round" or vice-versa
Or "Number of failed plays (Nat)" = same concept
So, before suggesting English-text modifications, I'd like to have your opinion.
* Should we speak of a game with 8 or 16 HANDS, and a hand is divided into "2 ROUNDS (where we can choose the trump suit) and then a playing-cards moment" (<< These two words HAND + ROUND are those used in Belote and Coinche)
OR
* Should we speak of a game with 8 or 16 ROUNDS, and a round is divided into "2 TURNS (where we can choose the trump suit) and then a playing-cards moment"
OR
* something else :)

Roll-istor an danevelloù bog
normally translations are just handled by the community, but of course for English strings it is special because all games must be developed in English first.
So if there are really errors, it would be best to fix them in the source.
As Klaverjassen is a Dutch game, this gave some challenges because there just is no fixed English terminology - if you check the wikipedia and pagat rules, you will see they also use "hand" or "round" for the same concept. And for game specific concepts like "Nat" or "Mars" there really is just nothing translatable ("Nat" would actually mean "wet" in English)
I understand your suggestion, but since the game has been released over 1,5 years now, I am reluctant to change anything in the source string - as that would mean all long validated translations have to be redone again.
But if you want to make some improvements in consistency using the English-to-English translations, that's fine by me.
I believe it would be best to keep the term HAND for a full play of all dealt cards and team scoring.
For the Trump selection phase, I really don't have a preference or any argument for one or the other term.
If you say Hand/Round are the terms used in both Belote and Coinche, it makes sense to keep them aligned as they are all card games from the same family.
Thanks and keep enjoying Klaverjassen!
