I suggest that when one clicks on a card,
1/ it does not pick the card immediatly -- a bit like with Sankt Petersburg. Instead it would :
2/ display a "recruit" button :
3/ display the score/gain/tooltip for this card, such as
"With this card you would score from (orange or green or whatever rank icon)10 to 18 pts" or
"With this hero, you would.... (tooltip info) -

Many ask for tooltips. Tooltips are always problematic on tablet/phone. And sometimes you click by error to pick a card... This suggestion might solve all of this ! Using a dedicated text under the action bar, that does not show while you look at other panels, only when you're about to choose a card.
I don't think the coutdown automatic confirmation should be used though...
- scoring is really not that hard, quite similar to seven wonders mechanisms, with the purple and green help it's quite easy to grasp
- showing how many point it would give would be helping players too much, I will definitively get complaints about this.
- it slows down the flow a lot since for all the dwarf cards no real misclick is possible and that's most of the action.
Just displaying the tooltip in a unique place (be it dwarf or hero) then ?
"how to play" is less likely to be translated than in-game strings... Might adress details, but it's better if the main scoring aspects are easily visible (with number, tables...) whatever the language !
