• Mar-plij, eilit/pegit ar gemennadenn fazi a zo war ho skramm, ma zo unan.
The current version is (I believe) not Bao la kiswahili but a simplified version of the game called Bao la Kujifunza. I have started looking at the 'full' version of this game, and I'm extremely intrigued. I think that it would absolutely be worth implementing, especially for competitive play on BGA. This seems to be the version that most people will expect when we bring up the game 'Bao'.
It seems like there is an official website for this game, and they have the complete rules here in English:
www.kibao.org/doc/regole2009kiba_en.pdf
The PDF is a little hard to read, but someone has formatted it nicely here:
abstractstrategygames.blogspot.com/2011/01/bao-sum-up-of-rules.html
I also found another description of the rules from the official site, although I'm not sure if it's exactly the same. It does inline the rules with some helpful images though:
www.kibao.org/kanuni.php?lng=en
And finally, there is a video on YouTube that does a good job at explaining the rules, and I'll link it here:

I am thinking along the line of have it as an option, so that one can play with the simple or more complex rules.
