After I accepted to play at table 121559537, the web browser was redirected to en.8.boardgamearena.com/8/hex?table=121559537 (see screen shot). However, that URL did not seem to exist, or the webserver at en.8.boardgamearena.com was not accepting connections. If I removed the ".8" from the domain name, I could see the game, but I was a spectator in the game and could not play (first I was Visitor-318423753 and later I was Visitor-718569489, see second screen shot). Meanwhile I also kept getting red messages saying something like "unable to connect to the server; are you sure you are connected to the internet?". Naturally, I was connected to the internet.
Fortunately my opponent was gracious enough to agree to abandon the game.
I play on BGA quite often and this particular error has not happened to me before. -

Roll-istor an danevelloù bog
We have adjusted a configuration, hopefully this is fixed. Please let us know if it happens again.
In case you run into this issue again, or if you get in a game as a spectator while you are one of the players, it means that something is wrong with your user session.
The solution is: use the back button to get back to the mainsite; log out; log in; then browse back to your game.
