• Mar-plij, eilit/pegit ar gemennadenn fazi a zo war ho skramm, ma zo unan.
As of right now, the "random faction selection" option selects from the 9 most balanced colour sets IF ALL PLAYERS START ON THE SAME VP. This was the best way to do it for when factions all started at 20, as if you got a colour that is in between 2 others, you had a very tough time. However, most games nowdays are played where starting VP is decided by auction- meaning that any set of colours can be balanced by the players themselves. With only 9 colour arrangements, this would get boring very fast if it is selected as an arena season. If we had a truly random arrangement, we would have 35 different possible colour arrangements, and much more variety in colours themselves (with the current 9, blue is by far the most frequent). In my hotseat testing, I got the same colour arrangement 3 games in a row, which isint too unlikely with only 9 possibilities.
To be clear, I only believe that it should be a truly random arrangement of colours when starting vp is set to either STANDARD AUCTION OR FAST AUCTION. With "Adjusted by faction" or "Standard" keeping the set of 9 balanced wheels is the best way to go. -
