I commented here boardgamearena.com/bug?id=66993 but I'm not sure how notification works on a "fixed" subject.

When putting down 3 pugs for my last mug, I had the pop-up for selecting a mug design. While this happened, someone chose to play a surprise before I could select the design, effectively stopping me from winning.

It doesn't make sense that placing your 3 cards down for everyone to see (if you play with card) would allow someone to randomly discard one of your card, especially as they would know 3 cards of the cards in your hand.

It also means you have to be particularly fast when selecting your mug, which makes senseless wanting to select a design you particularly like.
